JobPilot privacy policy

Last updated 22 October 2026

JobPilot is a Chrome extension that saves a job-application profile on your device and fills forms when you click the extension. This policy explains what stays on your device and what JobPilot does not do.

Who this applies to

This policy applies to the JobPilot extension distributed under the name “JobPilot — Job Application Autofill”. JobPilot does not run a separate account website.

Data stored on your device

Information you type is saved in Chrome’s local storage for this extension, on that browser profile only. That can include:

JobPilot does not ask for or store passwords, government ID numbers, bank details, or files such as a resume upload.

Data that is not sent to us

JobPilot does not have a server for your profile. Your saved details are not transmitted to the developer, sold, rented, or used for advertising. The extension does not include analytics or third-party trackers.

When you click “Fill this application”, JobPilot writes matching values into the form in the page you already have open. If you later submit that form, the website you are applying on receives whatever you submit. That site’s own privacy policy then applies. JobPilot does not submit the form for you.

Permissions

How long data is kept

Data remains in this browser until you remove it. On the profile page you can export a JSON backup or choose “Delete all local data”. Removing the extension from Chrome deletes its local storage for that browser profile.

Children

JobPilot is a job-application tool and is not directed at children under 13.
