Challenge
What was broken.
Analysts spent hours hunting documents before answering leadership questions. Previous chatbot pilots hallucinated on outdated policy PDFs and lacked audit trails.
Approach
How we moved.
We indexed authoritative sources with chunk-level metadata, built evaluation suites on real historical questions, and designed human-in-the-loop escalation for low-confidence answers. Cost and latency budgets were tracked from sprint one.

A RAG pipeline with vector search, citation-backed responses, and role-based source filtering. A Slack and web copilot surfaces answers with linked excerpts; admins manage source freshness and blocked topics centrally.
